Best part about moving: I found 7 pennies and approximately 141 bobby pins.
There is nothing else that I can consider positive. For the last few days I've been laboriously lugging and tugging (with a side of chugging) boxes and bags and what have you. It's been hell. Like one of my friends told me, "Packing was created by the devil." I agree ten thousand percent. If not for my amazing friends, I'd be screwed right now. For one, I have to live with my friend Liz for two nights because I had to pack my mattress. Then, I am storing all the stuff that didn't fit in boxes in my friends' apartments. Woof. I feel so bad.
They are all being so nice about it! Huge shout out to Liz, Annabelle, and Sam...if you're reading this.
GAHHHHH it is almost time to explore Europe, my friends. I've purchased a chalkboard at target-along with cute colored chalk- and I intend to carry it around with me and use it as a prop in photos. Stay tuned for those! Besides that, I fit more clothes than I imagined in my luggage. Pray for me that my bag is less than 50 pounds. Otherwise, I will cry at the airport. No shame. I also have to lug this huge textbook with me titled Drug Discovery, for my class. So heavy. Maybe I'll come back to America with muscles. Actually nevermind to that statement because I'm going to be sipping on Guinness for the next 3 weeks. Still no shame.
I found the funniest quote the other day, and I want to share it. I'll start posting funny finds I come across. If you find my blog humorous, you'll probably enjoy them.
If only I was going to Italy and could have all the spaghetti. SPEAKING OF SPAGHETTI, sorry I got excited, I went to Olive Garden on a date last night. With my friend Liz. Lols. It was very nice after we spent an hour at Target. Date night with my best friends is why my summer rocked. Omg that reminds me of another quote that my little sent me. "Boys are stupid, throw rocks at them" Yass Tamra you rock.
Anywho, I cannot wait until the Fourth of July. Aka tomorrow. It's one of my favorite holidays of all time. I love America!!! Says the girl who is traveling to Europe.
What I love most is being home for the Fourth. The last 4 years I've gone to my best friend Julie's neighborhood and celebrated there. Her mom makes delicious meatballs that my friends and I devour quickly, then we watch the parade from her lawn, see the cardboard boat regatta (that our guy friends used to participate in), swim in the local man-made lake that always has weird warm spots, and watch fireworks. It's a tradition that I'm going to miss this year. Dearly. Especially the snow cones. But my friends too, of course.
I guess I'm going to go see fireworks at the Charles River. People tend to do that. And today I might kayak the Charles. Heavy emphasis on might. My mom told me to take pictures to prove it. I promise I'm active at school. My parents just don't think I do anything but eat and drink. Oh well. I do. Sometimes.
Oh, I almost forgot. I've decided to wear a few things when I'm in Europe. First this emoji bracelet my family got me. It's the emoji of the smiley face with hearts as eyes. It'll remind me to enjoy life and love what I'm doing. I'm also wearing a watch that I haven't been able to wear for a few months. I got it in February, and I'm obsessed with it. But, I worked at a pharmaceutical company in a lab. And any jewelry wasn't a good idea to wear due to the chemicals we used. So now I get to wear it! Acid-free. Hallelujah. Lastly I always wear my AEPhi silly band. Can't forget my amazing sorority.
Time to go make 6-hour long playlists...
Happy Eve of the 4th! Aka the 3rd.
That was anti-climactic.
