I really don't even know what day it is LOL. My flight took off one day and landed another. Then I power-napped all before lunch. What is life.
But HOORAY! I've made it to Ireland. The UCD (University of Dublin) has such a cool campus- at least what I've seen so far. But I need to backtrack for a minute because many things happened yesterday before leaving that are worth a mention. So I live my life in a fairytale way. Or at least try. But whenever something big is about to happen (like going to Europe), I know that my fairytale will come crashing down. And it did.
My friends and I ordered our last meal together (before I left) from an online website that delivers food from all different restaurants- Foodler. They are always so quick and reliable. Of course, the one day I'm on a time constraint (because my bus was leaving for the airport) they screw up the order. My order and my friend's order didn't show up. Like really!? I was absolutely ravenous. I needed my falafel burger, and I will never forget that sad moment when my friend Annabelle opened the bag to find only 2 of our 4 meals. *There were four of us*
Anywho, we watched High School Musical 2 as I got ready to leave. Troy Bolton. That is all.
When I finally got to the airport, I was a little nervous. Pack light they said to all of us. It didn't click in my mind. Those words mean nothing to me. So I struggled as I put my bag on the scale. The guy looked at it then looked at me and passive-aggressively said, "Yeah so don't let it weigh more than 50 pounds on the way back." How rude. I'm just a girl who needs many options for clothing...I was not the worst though. Other girls brought a ton too. Phew. Didn't want to be that girl. Now to carry 52 pounds around Europe for 5 weeks. Plus all the souvenirs I buy. Oy.
After 3 hours of waiting for our flight, we finally got on. As I sat, I noticed the TV channel options and screamed to my friend as she was passing by the aisle, "YAS, they have kids channels on these tvs!!" This small Asian girl, who I thought had been my friend, nervously giggled. Good. Already making friends...
I ended up watching the newest Spongebob movie. It was excellent. Even better the second time; I've seen it before in theaters. No shame.
My friends would be happy to know that I listened to Cheerleader (the song I mentioned in my last post) as we were leaving the gate. So many feels. The flight was AerLingus. I crack up every time I see the word lingus. Fun fact: it means fleet. So like air fleet, which makes sense for an airline. The more you know!
OMG I almost cried on the plane. Not because of turbulence, not because the krabby patty formula was stolen, no. I cried because this little girl was listening to Wrecking Ball on KidzBop 25. I saw it on her TV screen. RT if you cried. Also, the whole time I needed to go to the bathroom. They served pasta with cheese for dinner, and I'm a self-proclaimed lactard. I do not digest dairy well. I'll leave it at that...But I refuse to go to the bathroom on an airplane.
You know what's the worst? When people lean their chair back. You already have zero room, so shout out to the old lady in front of me for making me all the more merry on my red-eye flight. Wait, other weird things happened. "NO SMOKING ALLOWED" they say. Then they sold cigarettes on the airline. I was very confused.
But finally the plane landed in potatoland, and we got to the university! For the rest of the day we're just chilling in our amazing single rooms with our own bathrooms. It's the little things, guys. We went grocery shopping, so of course I got chips and salsa. Then we just came back on a double-decker bus. Still confused as to why they have those here but you know what? Questioning the Irish ways after day one is a no-no. I'm just going to go with the flow.
Here's a picture. Caption: Hey guys, isn't that the Eiffel Tower?! I didn't know Europe was that small.
Americans need help. Send help in the form of McDonald's and Ben & Jerry's. LOL JK they have those both here <3 Life's good.

P.S. I guess I'm lost in Ireland now, not Boston. Not going to change the URL though. Deal with it.

Omg 😂😂😂
