Put The OK in Karaoke

First I'd like to mention that it is unreal the amount of times I get confused while crossing the street here. They drive on the wrong side. Or do us Americans? Never will I understand. I digress though.

So after a 2 hour nap, my friends and I were totally ready to take Dublin by storm. And by that, I mean we walked around and shopped for a bit; then we got dinner. But I'd like to mention (because I know my parents are reading this) that I bought nail polish. Sorry mom and dad. Gotta keep up the nails because I keep holding up drinks, and my nails always look ratchet. Needs fixing. I sort of have an obsession with nail polish...but that's a story for a different time.

We had dinner at this place called Doyle's. 10/10 would recommend. Our waitress rocked. First I got cider, but then we drank beer. Not a lot though, as you can see.

I got a steak burger for dinner. AMAZING. Instead of being an actual burger, it was literally served on mashed potatoes. No bun, just meat and taters. Yummo. Then we decided to go to this other bar called Captain America's after for what they called "college night". Retweet if you cried.

I was still hungry because at this point my burger was digested at least 2 hours before. Time for dessert. I got an amazing brownie. The whipped cream disappointed me, though. Less sugar than in America for sure. Probably 100 times better for my health. Oh well. I also ordered a few appletinis. However, instead of being tiny they were actually pretty big. Especially for the three euro charge. College night means less expensive drinks. #Winning.

They had nachos too, but I resisted.

Finally, though, the night came to a climax because karaoke began. My friend Jordan and I were destined to be performers. Well, maybe not of Britney Spears' "Toxic" but of other things. It was very entertaining, to say the least. The best part was that there was one other huge group there participating in karaoke as well. They were Irish, and they sang Bohemian Rhapsody. A+ for their performance.

Then at the end we decided that my group of 8 needed to sing together. So we sang Don't Stop Believing. The Irish people got up and danced with us as well. One even took a solo. It was a fabulous night out. True that there was barely anyone at the bar on a Wednesday, but hey, we made friends. And I have videos to prove it hehe. But sadly I missed winesday at home in Boston. Moment of silence.

I ALMOST FORGOT. Last night right before we got sad about the campus bar being closed, we saw a ton of people standing outside a building that was playing dance music. So we took a detour and passed them only to find out there was like an eighth grade dance on UCD's campus. Like what in the name of Ireland is this? They had glow sticks though, and were legit. Probably had more fun last night than we did. Crying about that one. Also as we passed they were singing the YMCA. So classic it hurts.

I wore these shoes yesterday because CHEMFORLIFE. Funny story, I wore them to the AP Chemistry exam in high school. And passed. Probably had more to do with my shoes than my studying...lols. These shoes are a fan favorite around my fellow chemmies though. And they're Toms!

Alrighty it's getting late (2:10 AM), so I should probably go to bed because I have class tomorrow. I love chemistry, but organic chemistry is soooo hard. Pray for me everyone.

peace. i love chemistry. meep
