I'd say I am a very spirited person. I love a lot, smile a lot, laugh too much. But where, do you ask, is this spirit coming from? Recently the term spirit animal has been taking social media by storm. You are supposed to pick an actual animal that looks or acts (or both) like you. If I was to choose, I'd probably pick a slow loris. I have similar buggy eyes and brown hair (fur). Also, the adjective slow describes me sometimes...Here's a picture for you to compare.

Always with the food, I'm telling you. But yeah, so that would represent my spirit animal. However, a new common theme is people making other objects and celebrities their spirit animals. I have compiled a list and will explain why these peculiar beings have become my backbone.
1. Olaf from Frozen and Anna from Frozen
-Okay. Olaf is everyone's spirit animal. He has zero filter, is super oblivious, and he loves warm hugs. How could you not be inspired by this little cutie? My favorite is when Anna asks if her hair looks bad and Christoph takes a second to answer. Olaf, "You hesitated". HAHA called out. And I love Anna because she is super relatable. All she wants is a little lovin'. Don't we all? And she wakes up with awful bed head and drool. Sounds familiar.
2. Stitch from Lilo and Stitch
-Not only can I do the voice of Stitch, I can also grow out 2 extra arms. Just kidding...but this aggressive "thing" makes me smile. I love the meaning of Ohana, and I wish Lilo and Stitch were in my Ohana.
3. Creed from the Office
-He's just so effing weird. I love it. But I also sometimes cringe at what he says.
4. Ke$ha
-Throw some glitter make it rainnnnn. I've been to one of her concerts. I had glitter on my body for weeks. She does what she wants, sings what she wants, and doesn't care what people think. We all need to learn a little something from mah girl K.
5. DW from Arthur
-The Original Sassmaster. As the current sassmaster, I'd like to thank DW (Arthur's little sister) for teaching me what I know. Many times she seemed like an annoying little sibling, but really she just didn't take anyone's shit. Kudos to this little nugget.
6. Any neopet
-Just like, this was my childhood. And who wouldn't want to play games all day, go shopping, and get fed omelettes.
7. Juni from spy kids
-If you need a recap on who this is, go rewatch the movie(s). So worth it. This prepubescent tot is very much in his awkward phase. He stands for all the awkward things I say and do daily. My favorite are his unnecessary side comments and very high short shorts. As one of my friends put it, they are the common day chubbies. *For those of you that don't know what chubbies are, they are a commodity for fratstars everywhere nowadays. See below:
Now I don't know these men but WOWZA, I'm a fan of the shorts.
8. Blu from Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends. He represents me in the way that he was not soft-spoken, and he liked to have it his way. I'm pretty stubborn sometimes, and just like Blu I need to get myself into a situation to learn that my way isn't always the best way. Plus he's adorable!
9. Chunk from the Goonies
-It is all about the Truffle Shuffle ladies and gentleman. I really don't know why this never got famous, but I don't hate that it didn't. Fun fact: I wear a sleep shirt that I got in New York that has Chunk doing the dance on it. I'm really cool; I know.
For now, that's all I can think of. But I do want to take a second to give a shout out to my favorite animals: whales. I don't think they are my spirit animal, per se. Mostly because I would not classify myself looking like a whale. But, they are so majestic and perfect and never will I let them go extinct. I've been whale watching 4 times (off Cape Cod and off Hawaii). So magical. 10/10 would recommend. So I had to give my whales some loving before ending this post.
We've got spirit, yes we do. We've got spirit; how about you!?
